GMDA going to build roads, water and sewer lines in new sectors of Gurugram

A good news and a huge relief for thousands of residents and investors  of new sectors, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has declared it will provide master services, like roads, water lines and sewage lines in these sectors. For this, it has divided the new sectors into four groups — sectors 58 to 7 1, 72 to 80, 81 to 97, 98 to 107,109 to 115 — to be serviced in phases. Of these, residents of sectors 68 to 80 will have to wait a little longer than the rest. These sectors will be the last to be taken up, due to pending issues. TOI had recently launched a campaign ‘Give Gurugram Its Due’, highlighting the problems being faced by residents living in new sectors. Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority is also planning to take up construction of the crucial 24m-roads in these sectors. Govt New boost to affordable homes, GST down to 8% from 12%

Affordable housing projects got one more boost from the government as the goods and services tax (GST ) Council in its meeting on January 18 had recommended the effective GST rate of eight per cent for houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) that provides credit linked subsidy scheme (CLSS). goods and services tax (GST) Currently Government taking   GST at the rate of 18 per cent on under construction affordable projects . Narendra Modi to launch mega project to turn Dwarka Expressway into NH, says Gurugram MP

Gurgaon Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh said on Friday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon lay the foundation stone for the Dwarka Expressway . Singh, however, did not elaborate when the foundation stone laying event would be held. His announcement comes two days after Union urban development, road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari made a similar announcement in New Delhi.
